The T-litter Groenendael were born on 11 August 2005 to Ocean’s daughter Qasima v’t Guitpad and the Dutch Champion Kay of the First Triangle. There are only 1male and 2 females born in this litter. It is a small litter but there were no complications with the birth. The pups are doing fine.

Puppy-day / Litter re-union C-Litter: Kennel de la Jetée (Cubiks descendents)

On 25-6-2005 Claudia & Ronald Damsma organised a puppy-day for their C-litter. All the pups were present. It was a beautiful day and all the pups were doing fine. The visit gave us the opportunity to get an impression of the pups and from what we have seen we are extremely positive about the type and character of the litter decended from our own Cubik.

Very good results from our dogs at the International Show in Oldendurg

On 19-06-05 we went to Oldenburg in Germany with our young Tervueren bitch Danicha  v’t Guitpad and our young Groenendael bitch Shiva v ‘t Guitpad. It was the first show for Shiva and both females did very well. They received the next qualifications.

Shiva v’t Guitpad was only 10 months old at the show but she became Best Of Breed (BOB)  and we are of course very proud with this result.

There was also a descendent from our Tervueren-male Cubik at the show. This dog, named Chuck von der Feldstiege (Cubik v ‘t Guitpad X Bellé von der Lambertshugel), was the best Tervueren pup at the show and he made a very good impression and we think he is a promise for the future. 

We are expecting a Groenendael-litter

On 13-06-05 our Groenendael Qasima v’t Guitpad was mated with the Dutch Champion, Kay of the First Triangle. We are expecting the pups from this excellent combination in the middle of August. Both dogs are excellent in type and character and have also an optimal score for their hips.
 

On 22-5-2005 we organised a puppy-day for the R and S Groenendael-litters. It was a beautiful day and all the pups were doing fine. These pups were the last litters from our beautiful bitches Nikyra and Ocean. These bitches are half-sisters because they have the same mother Gisette v’t Guitpad. There was another similarity also because both litters were sired by Arras-G Del Colle Ombroso. The puppy day gave us a very good impression of the pups. The males could be shorter but there were some beautiful bitches. The characteristics of all the pups were excellent. We were more than satisfied with these Groenendael litters from Gisettes’ daughters and the Italian Arras-G Del Colle Ombroso.

On 04-05-05 our national memorial day we lost Eshrana, one of the pups of Ybrisca and Odyn. She had problems with her heart and died during investigations at the clinic. We can hardly understand that a strong and lively pup like Eshrana can suffer from a disease such as this. But we have to accept this as fact. There is now only one pup left from this litter. She is named Eshah and we hope that she will bring us better times in the future. Eshrana was with us for only five and a half weeks but we will always remember her.
 

Optimal score for X-ray photo Danicha v’t Guitpad

Our Tervueren bitch Danicha v’t Guitpad scored very good for her hips on the X-ray photo. She received an A-grade with a Norberg value of 38 degrees.

On 01-04-2005 we said good-bye to our two eldest dogs. Gisette v’t Guitpad and Haraz v’t Guitpad. They were both old (15 and 14 years, respectively) but it was not easy to part. In the last years they spend their old days together in harmony. This year the condition of especially Gisette became very bad. She was already deaf and nearly blind and also her bones did not work properly anymore. The decision was not easy but had to be taken. I make this note because I realise that this is the end of a great generation. Both dogs were extremely talented with an excellent type and an excellent character. On her first show when she was only sixteen months old Gisette became best of breed at the great international show in Zuidlaren judged by Norman Deschuymere who is of course a Groenendael expert par excellence. She always did well and her character was also unbelievable. Her half-brother Haraz was also a great dog in more ways than one. Excellent in type and bone and also his movements were very strong. Everybody who knew this dog realised that he had a very strong character. He passed the IPO–examination before he was two years old with compliments from the judge for his spirit and courage. On his last show when he was nearly six years old he still received the RCACIB in Zuidlaren. It is unbelievable and a shame that this dog was not selected by the NVBH. In our mind there is no doubt that we here say goodbye to two great Groenendael. We are grateful that we are in possession of the descendents of Gisette.  We will never forget them!

Descendents from Cubik in Germany.

On 7^th December 2004, 3 male and 5 female pups were born in Kennel Von der Feldstiege owned by Martina and Thomas Albertsmann from Borken in Germany. It was at this kennel that Cubik was mated with Bellé von der Lambertshügel, owned by Martina and Thomas Albertsmann. Der Zwinger aus dem Munsterland is very pleased with this beautiful litter. There is a lot of interest in these pups and in fact all the pups were sold before they were born.

Descendents from Cubik v’t Guitpad.

September 9^th 2004: 1 male and 4 female pups were born in Kennel de la Jetée owned by Claudia and
Ronald Damsma from Oldeberkoop. The mother of these beautiful pups is Xemple Roxanne de la Vignette. The pups are all doing fine and we think that Cubik has made a very impressive start to his breeding career.
 

On 7^th October 2004 Cubik mated with Bellé von der Lambertshügel from Kennel  von der Feldstiege owned by Martina and Thomas Albertsmann from Borken, Germany. Von der Feldstiege der Zwinger aus dem Munsterland is expecting her pups in the middle of December.

On 14-9-03 we organised a puppy day for our Q-Litter Groenendael. It was a beautiful day and there was only one dog absent. Everybody promised to come but in practice nothing is perfect. For the rest the day was perfect. The weather was beautiful and so were the dogs. In this litter there was only one female and she is still with us in Kropswolde. This bitch called Qasima v't Guitpad is a beautiful dog with a good character. There were five males in the litter and four of them were present. We were surprised by the quality and the manifestation of the males. The Q in this litter stands for Quality, that’s for sure. All dogs are of a great size with beautiful heads. The characters were also excellent. We were more than satisfied with this litter produced by multi-champ, Boetsch de Bruine Buck and our own Ocean v't Guitpad.

The story of Dame Dante's Zoeteke v't Guitpad.                      

From Kropswolde to Los Angeles.

From the Guitpad to Beverly Hills

Our grey female Tervueren pup, Dame Dante's Zoeteke v't Guitpad, travelled a long way on the fifteenth of August 2003. She was born in our Kennel on the seventeenth of June from a cross between the multi-Champ, Xenakis du Clan des Fauves, and our Ybrisca de la Vignette. She was the only grey pup in a litter of seven and she is just beautiful. Hardly eight weeks old she crossed the ocean travelling more then fifteen hours to arrive as a VIP in Beverly Hills. Her new owner, who is famous in the USA because of her three-year marriage to Michael Jackson, was at the airport with her staff to welcome her new Tervueren, Dame Dante's Zoeteke v't Guitpad. Zoeteke already feels at home and is playing with the other dogs of Ms. Rowe-Jackson.               

We would like to thank René and Lea van de Velde from Belgium and her daughter Annemie, who lives in Los Angeles. They made the contact and transported Zoeteke from Holland to Belgium, then on to France and eventually to the USA. Annemie van de Velde did an excellent good job of looking after Zoeteke on the long plane journey from France to Los Angeles.

We were relieved when René van de Velde sent us an e-mail telling us that his daughter Annemie had landed safely and that Zoeteke was playing happily with the other dogs in the garden at her new home in Los Angeles.

Our pup Dame Dantes Zoeteke travelled across the world and we hope that she has a bright future in Los Angeles.
